Good Shepherd

¹⁴"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— ¹⁵just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. ¹⁶I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. ¹⁷The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. ¹⁸No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father."

Republic Day!

Today is Republic Day! It is a HUGE event in Delhi. People from all over the country come to Delhi to see the parade and to celebrate.
Whenever there is a big event or celebration, there are many opportunities. This holiday is one that brings all Indians together to celebrate becoming a republic. Unlike other holidays which are from the many different religions, this holiday brings everyone together. Christians have many opportunities during this holiday to share with their friends and neighbors. Please pray that they will be bold in sharing with everyone they come in contact with during this holiday!

Training

Right now there is a training going on in the Capital. Sanjay is helping to lead this training. Please pray for those involved in this training, that they will catch the vision for planting churches! Pray that they will leave the training excited to move forward with the Gospel!

Commonwealth Games Update

As written before, the Commonwealth Games are a multinational and multi sport even that is held every 4 years with athletes from the commonwealth nations (most are countries that were once under the British Empire). The Commonwealth games are a lot like the Olympics but with some different sports and less countries involved.

The next games are in October 2010 and they will be held right here in DELHI! For more info click here!

They are behind on just about everything in preparation for the games. Most of the facilities have not been built (and some haven't even been started!), they don't have volunteers lined up (they need at least 20,000!), and they haven't even begun to figure out how to sell tickets. The games are in 8 months! Please pray for this event! This is an awesome opportunity for the Christians of this city!

- Pray that the Christians of Delhi (and surrounding) will volunteer to help at this event. Pray that they will be bold and active in sharing their faith!

- Pray for the people that will be coming to this event. Pray that they will come with open hearts and have many opportunities to hear and learn about Jesus!

- Pray for the Christians of Delhi that are already working together to use this event to show people the awesome love of Jesus!
